South Georgia Youth Orchestra is proving what’s old can be made new again at the Thomasville Center for the Arts this fall.

Under the leadership of Tallahassee’s celebrated cellist Dr. Boyan Bonev, budding youth musicians (grades 6-12) will be exploring the rich history of classical music by examining history, culture and their own creative potential.

Mondays | 4-6 p.m.
August 19 – December 16
$75 per month, per student

No audition is necessary but aspiring musicians interested in strings, winds, brass and percussions are encouraged to apply. South Georgia Youth Orchestra’s fall season will culminate on Monday, November 18 with a concert at the Center’s historic theater.

South Georgia Youth Orchestra is based at Thomasville Center for the Arts at 600 East Washington Street. Free bus transportation from Thomasville City and Thomas County schools is provided courtesy of the school systems.
