ART IN THE OPEN
col•lide21
Thomasville, GA comes alive for six weeks with (20) 12’x 15’ temporary canvas murals installed on historic brick buildings throughout The Bottom Creative District. Artists design and paint murals that depict a person, place, or idea that contributes to Thomasville’s identity.

Inspired by the makers, creators, and artists that keep Thomasville and surrounding areas oozing with creativity and economic growth, this event attracts regional and national artists with a competitive spirit.
From recycled runway dresses and aspiring pop-up shops, to yarn-bombing the streets and chalking the sidewalks, FLAUNT takes new shape each year. Two-story murals, a battle of the bands, street parties, and more… the possibilities (and the “creativities”) are endless!
Art in the Open was created to promote regional artists, drive tourism to our historic downtown and Creative District, and position Thomasville as a creative community to attract visionaries, thinkers and makers.
Public Art projects in the UnVacant Lot are made possible by contributions from local businesses and individuals who are passionate about the vibrant future of Thomasville’s creative district. Join the movement by making a donation! Just include the “UnVacant Lot” in the notes.
