Have you ever been curious about what’s inside the vault at Thomasville Center the Arts? This summer we’re opening the door so you can take a peek at more than 200 works of art collected over 30 years.

What’s even better than getting to take a look? The chance to buy!

Since 1986, generous donors have gifted the Center with fine art, furniture and objects from their private collections. For years, many of these gifts have remained in the vault or exhibited on a limited basis.  Now, with a contemporary art exhibition focus in store for this season at our historic building, we are excited to share treasured pieces from the collection with our community.

Between now and the end of July, we will offer two opportunities for you to buy and add to your own collection. Select from artwork contributed by various donors including the estates of Parker Poe, Dr. Ben Grace, and Patti Luckie.

Proceeds from the auctions will fund the preservation and conservation of the fine art collection that will remain at the Center, including notable works by Odgen Pleissner, Graham Sutherland, Karl Zerbe, Victor Vasarely, and Toulouse Lautrec.
