This summer, discover all your creative capacities at the Thomasville Center for the Arts. From music and dance to arts and innovation, our area’s top artistic talents are ready to inspire artistic self-discovery.

 

Visual Arts Camp | TCA Downtown

June 1 – 5 | 9 am – 12 pm | Ages 6-12 | $120 per student

Chill out with Artist-in-Residence Caroline Manuel, to learn techniques of drawing, painting, and mixed media, inspired by the aquatic works of Beth Appleton.  On our last day of camp, Beth will come to work alongside the campers in an art project.

South Georgia Youth Orchestra | TCA Main
June 1-5 | 8 am – noon | Ages 9+ | $150 per student

Young musicians will work to explore music, history, culture, and their own creative potential with Dr. Boyan Bonev at this camp for string instruments.

SGB Summer Intensive Dance Camp | TCA Main
June 15-19 | 9am-4pm | 3rd grade + up | $350 per student

Summer Intensive offers an extensive training schedule including a variety of genres of dance and taught by internationally acclaimed faculty members. By audition only.

South Georgia Ballet Youth Dance Camps | TCA Main

Simba’s Summer Dance Camp | Ages 3-7 | 9am – noon

SGB Scar’s Summer Soiree |Ages 8-12 | 2 pm – 4:30 pm

$110 before May 15 | $140 per student after May 16

Dancers can take their place in the circle of life and enjoy exploring new genres of dance in our Lion King themed camps.

Fairy Tale Rock | TCA Main

July 13 – 17 | 9 am – 3 pm | Ages 8-11 | $150 per student

Set out on a musical pop-rock adventure with some of your favorite fairy tale villains as they sing, dance, and tell stories.  Check out our musical theatre performance at the end of camp where the villains try to “set the record straight”!

EmPowered Youth Music Project | TCA Main

July 20 – 24 | 9 am – 3 pm | Ages 8-18 | $150 per student

Learn the power of music to bridge cultural divides and achieve financial well-being. By joining with other voices in the choir, Ivory Lucas III empowers students to make beautiful harmonies and real money in the arts. In a final showcase, students will present choral performance and an art-based business plan.
