Steve Campbell is scheduled to visit third grade classes in September. Visit will be made virtually or in-person depending on school preference. In-person visits will follow all school mandated COVID precautions.
John Doyle will visit classes in-person or virtually to help high school students craft their story and tell it on digital platforms.
Jeff Mather will work with students in two phases – a design phase in which students collaboratively design a site-specific sculpture and a build phase in which students build the sculpture on site. He will visit visual arts and/or math classes, based on school preference.
Caldecott Award Winner, Carole B. Weatherford is coming to town and wants to visit your class (virtually)!
The visit is designed to support teachers in building high-quality, project-based learning units. Build your unit around her latest book, You Can Fly: The Tuskegee Airmen or choose from selected titles about “history makers and barrier-breakers who achieved against the odds.”
