This class is perfect for both beginners and those looking to refresh their watercolor skills. We’ll explore a variety of subjects, from vibrant florals to serene landscapes, allowing you to experiment and find your unique style.
What you’ll learn: Essential watercolor techniques: brush strokes, color mixing, layering, and washes; Building confidence in handling watercolor paints; Creating depth and dimension in your paintings; Exploring different subject matter to inspire your creativity.
No previous experience is necessary! All materials will be provided. Join us for a fun and relaxing atmosphere where you can let your imagination flow.

Grades K-2

Students will be trained and always entertained as they learn the basic tenets of performing through the magic of musical theatre. Singing, dancing, and acting lessons are woven into the weekly rehearsals. Performing Arts I students will be featured in TCA’s community musical during Youth Arts Month in March, 2026.

Joe Ann Hinrichs will teach you how to make a log cabin quilt square, a versatile pattern that can be used for quilts, pillows, coasters, or wall decor. All it takes are rectangles of fabric andn some straight stitches! This is a great learn-to-sew class courtesy of the Cotton Pickin’ Quilters.

Great for beginners! No experience necessary. All materials provided. If you have a sewing machine that’s easily carried, you are welcome to bring it. We also have machines you can use.

Get ready for an inspiring evening! Join us for a free Artist Talk for My Side of the Story on May 1, 2026, from 5:30–7:00pm — a night celebrating creativity, storytelling, and the vibrant tradition of Southern narrative quilting.

We’re bringing together an exciting panel of artists, including our Best of Show winner Sara Simmons and our 1st Place winners: • Edi McConnell-Gonzalez (My Mexican-Georgia Heritage) • Sissy Ledbetter (Sunbeam Bread) • Bobbi Zagrocki & Mary Bone (Paradise Park)

Guiding the conversation is renowned architect Elva Rubio, who will lead us through the power of storytelling in art and the creative journeys behind these remarkable works.

Come celebrate the rich Southern tradition of narrative quilting, uplift artists from across the region, and experience the stories stitched into every piece. It’s going to be a night full of energy, insight, and artistic passion.

Join Ink Portal, the first Wednesday of every month for a welcoming space for teens and adults to write, workshop, and explore literature together. Led by a local writer or educator, each monthly session includes guided writing time, group discussion, and community reading.

Held in the Center’s Parker Poe Library Gallery, Ink Portal encourages creativity, connection, and opportunities for feedback and publication. Free and open to the public.

Join artist-instructor Laura Patrick for a morning of painting and community.
Participants will turn a blank canvas into a work of art creating their own 8″ x 10″ painting. No prior painting experience is needed! We will experiment with brushes and color learning to mix acrylics and achieve different line weights and shapes.
All materials included.

Resilient Expression is a short film series by filmmaker Parker Watt spotlighting Ukrainian artists living in Estonia and exploring how art fosters healing, cultural preservation, and connection in the aftermath of war. The screening includes an introduction, intermission, post-film Q&A, and light refreshments, and is presented with the participation of Covey Film Festival.

A quarterly community dinner celebrating the art of intentional gathering. Enjoy thoughtful conversation and curated food and drink as we build a community around one big table. Guests will gather at a long table in the Center’s Main Gallery to share a meal, engage in meaningful conversation, and enjoy the current exhibit as a backdrop. After dinner, everyone is invited to participate in a fun, collaborative art project.
