Inspired by Hable’s bright and hopeful collage work on paper, this installation represents the colliding and transformation from 2D to 3D combined with the gentleness of nature. With her use of color and texture influenced by Georgia red clay, and the landscapes of Oaxaca, Mexico, and Rajasthan, India, her pieces are strong yet gentle, which begs the question–how can something so solid appear so ephemeral? A true multi-disciplinary artist, Hable is an active participant connected to land and culture rich in the ingenuity of creation. The resulting forms stimulate a conversation.
