Wildlife Art Workshop

Thomasville Center for the Arts
$125 Members/$150 Non-Members
Spend your afternoon getting hands-on with color, texture, and the Southern landscape. Led by Festival artist Sam McCoy, this workshop invites participants to explore observational drawing, intuitive mark-making, and a fresh, contemporary approach to color theory – all inspired by Sam’s signature saturated palette.
You’ll learn about the elements behind these works, along with a bit of history on Southern landscape painting and the inspiration behind her style. From there, Sam will guide you step-by-step through creating a piece of your own, building skills and confidence along the way.
Every participant will leave with a completed original work of art and a “studio on the go” kit to keep the creativity flowing well after class ends.
Materials and refreshments are provided; just bring your creativity.

Few places capture the beauty of the season quite like the Red Hills. Here’s your chance to bring that beauty home. Guest floral designer Seale Lindsay will guide participants through the art of creating a custom autumnal mailbox topper that’s as personal as it is beautiful. Seale will also share her tips for effortlessly transforming your piece from fall into the holiday season with just a few simple updates. Materials and refreshments are provided; just bring your creativity.

Free for Members, $10 for Non-MembersLet your child’s imagination go WILD under the direction of professional artists. Ages 5-17 will create a mini masterpiece while learning about our local wildlife and ecosystems. Materials are provided.
