A Seat at the Table | Candlelit Paella Dinner
Saturday, May 11 | 6-8 pm

A candlelit paella dinner celebrating community and connection to include dinner, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages served under the oaks at the Center. Community conversation starters will be provided with each course. Come enjoy a vibrant alfresco dinner, make authentic connections and enjoy intentional conversation.

Brent Warr | Artist Talk
Saturday, June 1 | 4-5 pm

Brent Warr is an artist and designer making sculptural art, collectible furniture, and lighting for clients from New York to Australia. As a fresh college graduate in a studio apartment, Warr began shopping for furniture and wasn’t drawn to anything he loved, so he made his own pieces using wood, paint, and plaster. What began as an exploration developed into a full-fledged Atlanta studio and the debut of his Woodfin furniture collection.

The Center’s Q & A with Warr will focus on process, identity, and cultural nuance in art-making. Non-Members | $25; Members | $10. Complimentary wine and light bites.

2nd Annual Member & Volunteer Appreciation Day!

Attend one of two free workshops, then stay for a free picnic lunch and live music under the oaks. 

  • Adult workshop: Beeswax Candlemaking
  • Family workshop: 3D Wooden Pumpkin
  • Both workshops are from 9:30-11:30
  • Lunch will be served at noon

Kids PLAYce | 9 am – 12 pm, Drop-In
Kids PLAYce is always open during 2nd Saturdays. Come build a Lego monument or be creative with our big blue blocks or even put on a puppet show! Kids PLAYce is free to everyone! No registration required.

Family Make & Take | 9:30-11:30 am
Wooden Pumpkins

Designer Marlo Ransdell has created fanciful 3D wooden pumpkins in her design lab, Studio D! Join us on Second Saturday to paint and decorate your own amazing wooden pumpkin just in time for Halloween. Plus, learn about design and fabrication. Great for kids of all ages and adults! $5 per non-member family.

Beeswax Candles

Just in time for fall! Create a trio of rolled beeswax candles and add your own adornments. Create amazing candles, and decorate any room in your home or give out as gifts to friends and family members. Non-members: $30.
